" We understand the barriers to the uptake of renewable energy and have responded by developing a suite of services to help drive demand, build industry capacity and supply chains, and provide support to decision makers."
" The project is being piloted in North East Scotland and aims to make the process of installing renewables easier for all parties involved."
Renewables Connection is a new project created to facilitate small-scale renewable energy installations in North East Scotland.
Renewables Connection works with householders, the public sector and businesses, helping them choose affordable installations using trusted installers and quality equipment. Our team helps people and organisations select the appropriate technology, obtain quotes, planning permission and grants.
Renewables Connection is being funded during the pilot stage but aims to become self-financing in the longer term. Funding, and ongoing support, is being provided by Scottish Enterprise, SCARF, Aberdeen City Council, and Shell UK Limited, with additional backing being provided by Aberdeenshire Council and Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, AREG.
